This year, the international emergency situation requires us to have an alternative examination solution that does not mean losing the year and seniority. My decision regarding Makotokai is to modify the programs and make them more similar to the Instructors exams. This means more depth on Kihon programs and more work on Kata. Kumite will be replaced by a formula that will be explained to those who must take the exams and Instructors. The exams will be held physically during the usual international Summer Camp to be held at the end of August (June has been postponed for this year only). Those who cannot participate "physically" in the exam session can take the tests using the now well-tested virtual platform.
